What is Adult Drivers Ed?

As of March 1, 2010, driver license applicants between the ages of 18–24 are required to complete an approved 6 hour driver education course to become a licensed driver in Texas. Applicants must submit a certificate proving the successful completion of driver education course (ADE-964) approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Applicants over the age of 25 are not required to take this course but are encouraged to still take this course to receive a comprehensive explanation of the rules and regulations of the road to ensure a passing result. You will be able to take your Written Exam immediately after you complete our course, which means you will not have to take the written exam at the DPS office.

After our course, you will receive a certificate of completion which will be required at the DPS to obtain a Restricted License. From this point forward you can begin training with our skilled and patient staff or with friends/family who hold a valid license and are 21 years of age or older.
